Three main games exist, there's Warhammer 40K which is a kind of Sci-Fi with Steampunk undertones. Warhammer Fantasy is a Fantasy/Medieval version of 40K with all same factions and tropes, but swords and sorcery instead of guns and sorcery. Battlefleet Gothic is a space battle game set in the 40K universe.

Warhammer's heyday was from the '80s into the mid '90s. I wouldn't bother with it today, the PC games are alright but there are better RTS out there and overall franchise is at breaking point. It's a greedy and overly expensive game and the rulesets have been increasingly awful over the last decade.
