The funny thing is, I'm not even joking. My coffee actually does taste like cough syrup. To be fair, I've intentionally attempted to make a stupid thread like some appear to do. Ironically, I honestly feel stupid and might regret it.

I suppose that's a good thing.

Normally I don't post on here, but as a person that loves coffee I think maybe you should get a new cup. If that taste bad maybe it's your coffee. Personally I like colombian coffee. Just a thought I wouldn't feel bad about the attempt at a stupid thread, but coffee is a serious matter. haha.

Nah. I rotate between Maxwell House and Folgers. If I recall correctly, Maxwell House hasn't ever appealed to my tastes - not how I brew it, at least.

I think McCafé is worse. I ordered a cup of coffee from McDonald's before: Interestingly, I got a cup of hot water. Just recently, I got a cup of hot milk from the same restaurant in response to the same order. I didn't complain on either event.

Well, I'm glad my thread prompted your participation!

That's been a solution in the past: Try my luck with another cup. I really think I just don't like Maxwell House. I usually just suck it up and consciously try to filter out the cough syrup taste. I get used to it, I guess.
