(Spoilers for the end of XY&Z) Ash's Pikachu lost to a wild Grubbin.

What, you don't believe me? Let me repeat myself.

In episode 4 of Sun and Moon, Ash's Pikachu, a vital piece of the second place team of the Kalos League, got critically injured by a wild Grubbin using String Shot. He was put in the emergency room by a non-damaging move that was used by some untrained level 5.

At this point, I kind of have to watch the rest of this season to see what other stupid crap will happen.

All Ash's (well all Pikachus) have is Speed and Special Attack. String Shot will lower the Pikachus speed along with Evasian ( the only defense a pikachu does have) thus leaving it open. Ash's pikachu isnt really specially the only thing it has in a gap is Level Experience but even then Ash needs to struggle because a level 80 Pikachu aceing all the gyms sounds boring and stupid. But yeah take away Pikachus Speed it goes down like a rat in a trap

Tapu koko absorbed all his power when he used gigavolt havoc on it. At least thats what i got from it lol.

I kinda hope Charizard shows up to be one of Ash's ride pokemon.

Except that we're talking about a wild Grubbin on Melemele Island, not a trained battler. Even with generous rounding, a level 80 Pikachu with -1 speed will still outspeed a level 10 Grubbin. Its defensive stats would also be way too high for it.
