Cloak Jacket Thing - Do I Dress Weird?

I wear a long black jacket with a large hood that ties around the upper torso, giving the look and feel of a cloak with sleeves.

Someone asked one time whether I was dressed as Batman. This caught me off guard, because the jacket looks absolutely nothing like anything Batman wears (or so I think), and so I departed this person confused about life; however, the point still came across that I must have looked different.

Without any of you likely knowing what the jacket looks like exactly, but with the description I gave, what do you think? Is it weird to wear a cloak jacket thing?

I wouldn't find it weird to see, but my opinion should not matter, and neither theirs. Wear what you feel like (ofc as long as it is socially acceptable).

id be so embarrassed to wear that! poor op, everyone probably thinks your dressing up as something. not many people wear that kind of thing. like if i wore a robe someone might think im dressing up as a shepard or something. i wish i could wear a robe without being judged, they so comfy :(

Eh I would not say it is strange. I wear a trench coat all the time I leave the house and some one asked me if I was dressing up like Neo from the matrix. I told them no this is how I normally dress. Also I am going to be wearing a cloak myself soon.

So yep Trench coat and cape combo is comnig up soon. Might keep the sunglasses or take them off. I think I look better without them at times but I also do not want people to see my eyes.

I wouldn't think it was odd if you wore something like that. It sounds similar to a trench coat.
