It sounds like your parents have trust issues, and maybe they're just like that by nature, or perhaps you've done something to break their trust. If you've done something horrible to break their trust (I.E. ordering "bad substances" off the dark web), then sure, maybe it was a deserved punishment. But unless you've done something horribly wrong, I think you should be able to reason with your parents in this.
If you can, perhaps suggest that they remove NetNanny and instead you'll send them a daily log of your browsing history, with the promise not to remove anything off of it. This should start to establish a bit of trust.
Worst case scenario is that they're just lazy and don't care, they just feel guilty about not being more involved with their child's life, so they got an "online babysitter" to make themselves feel better.
He doesn't want us to be exposed to "evil things".
I should also put it out there that we are a religious family. Comprimising would never work.
Don't worry I am just kidding.
Or am i?
That's some real ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ serious paranoia and should be helped with.
Honestly, nanny software doesn't even work, there are simple bypasses that a 12 year old now-a-days can figure out in a couple of seconds.
By the way, you're 16... why the need for NetNanny?
I doubt that would work. I don't know about NetNanny, but simlar software often times hides itself like malware so it is almost impossible to uninstall, and they will usually block task manager, or if you manage to shut it down the program will crash windows. Those spyware and NetNanny programs usually butcher performance too.
You just make it harder for them to grow up...
I'd play sad satan in front of em just to spite them
Gore never really bothered me...
granted the FBI would probably be on my ass if i were to even touch that game... oof
It's not the gore the most ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up thing about that game...
