I hate netnanny... (net nanny is going to block my own post)
I won't be able to read this. My parents installed net nanny on my computer and now literally everything is blocked. I can understand why though. I am about to turn 16...

The teenage years is when parents are constantly afraid of me watching certain things.

Here is the stuff it is going to block:

Wanna go on a date? I am depressed. I may kill myself.

Depression. Datingggg

I want to date you.

Kiss me baby.

Oh yeah.

Depression.

Suicide.

Bigot bigot bigot

♥♥♥ loser

anime anime anime

Murder.

Bloody mess so much blood and gore ahhh

die die die.

Depressed.

You look ugly, you need to rethink your life.

♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Pornography.

Most likely net nanny will block this page for so many reasons and I won't be able to reply.

Feel free to reply some pretty offensive stuff.

Mine used to be very strict with me and my sister. But I was so much of a hellion that they now have very low expectations of me when it comes to these things. They still expect me to do what is morally right and things like that, they just don't care if I look at things that is less than family-friendly.
Been looking at Slaneesh r34 again I guess? XD
Shhhhhh it's a secret :chocola2:
Sorry to hear about this stuff, dude. I agree with most of the other posters in here. It's pretty sad though that you're (almost) 16 and this thing is babysitting you like you're 8.

It sounds like your parents have trust issues, and maybe they're just like that by nature, or perhaps you've done something to break their trust. If you've done something horrible to break their trust (I.E. ordering "bad substances" off the dark web), then sure, maybe it was a deserved punishment. But unless you've done something horribly wrong, I think you should be able to reason with your parents in this.

If you can, perhaps suggest that they remove NetNanny and instead you'll send them a daily log of your browsing history, with the promise not to remove anything off of it. This should start to establish a bit of trust.

Worst case scenario is that they're just lazy and don't care, they just feel guilty about not being more involved with their child's life, so they got an "online babysitter" to make themselves feel better.
The worst part about all this: my dad put net nanny on every computter in the house... even his own.

He doesn't want us to be exposed to "evil things".

I should also put it out there that we are a religious family. Comprimising would never work.
Guns are always the answer.

I think it's more than just ''evil things'' considering the fact that he has put netnanny on EVERY computer.

That's some real ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ serious paranoia and should be helped with.
Open task manager and close the software? then when you restart it will be there, much less noticable than uninstalling it?

Honestly, nanny software doesn't even work, there are simple bypasses that a 12 year old now-a-days can figure out in a couple of seconds.

By the way, you're 16... why the need for NetNanny?

often such software will block the task manager. but yeah, had a similar software when i was like ten and it didn't take long for me to find a workaround.

I doubt that would work. I don't know about NetNanny, but simlar software often times hides itself like malware so it is almost impossible to uninstall, and they will usually block task manager, or if you manage to shut it down the program will crash windows. Those spyware and NetNanny programs usually butcher performance too.
