I hate netnanny... (net nanny is going to block my own post)
I won't be able to read this. My parents installed net nanny on my computer and now literally everything is blocked. I can understand why though. I am about to turn 16...

The teenage years is when parents are constantly afraid of me watching certain things.

Here is the stuff it is going to block:

Wanna go on a date? I am depressed. I may kill myself.

Depression. Datingggg

I want to date you.

Kiss me baby.

Oh yeah.

Depression.

Suicide.

Bigot bigot bigot

♥♥♥ loser

anime anime anime

Murder.

Bloody mess so much blood and gore ahhh

die die die.

Depressed.

You look ugly, you need to rethink your life.

♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Pornography.

Most likely net nanny will block this page for so many reasons and I won't be able to reply.

Feel free to reply some pretty offensive stuff.

You are 16 and your parents still impose such strict controls on you. I feel sorry for you man.

It is (I think) basically spyware that monitors everything you do, which is viewable by parents, and blocks anything at all that could be bad/offensive/violent/etc.

Well hope they haven't patched up the bypass... it took a 10 year old approx 1 hr to figure out two ways to bypass "Net Nanny". It's such silly software.

This is true

You know, since "Net Nanny" users won't be able to read this topic anyways and "Net Nanny" should really patch up security holes in their software... here one basic example...

Right-click the "Net Nanny" icon on the taskbar, select "Online Help". Then web-browse via that popup web-browser without any restrictions what-so-ever.

Slaps forehead.

This video is what Net Nanny wants you to think of their product.

As for me, I never had to deal with this before. Instead, I had to deal with mcafee Safe Eyes. From my experience with Safe Eyes, it blocks content based on searching for key words. However, Safe Eyes blocks entire websites because you visited a page that just so happened to have something in the html code in which otherwise has nothing to do with the contents of the page in question. For example, you look up a kid friendly Fidget Spinner unboxing video, only for Safe Eyes to block the entirety of youtube because the HTML for the video had "death" in it.

you should be able to uninstall the program without too much issue. your parents would notice that tho

the unistaller will probably ask for a password set by the parents.
