Ever since we got a smart TV and it's connected to our Wifi I always have this castign option, I can't disable it in YouTube or in my settings, and one have any ideas? Because I accidentally hit it and whoever is watchign something gets redirected to the YouTube app on the TV, god knows what happens if you cast ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Sadly, you can't disable it. I tend to do the same thing.
lololololol
Oh?

Tap Settings. Under Personal, tap Google and then Cast media controls and then slide the slider off.

That remove the notice asking you to stream to the T.V.?

1. I have no Personal tab
2. The slider under Cast media Controls is off.

Wait? Your phone setting menu doesn't have a personal section if you scroll down?

Hmmm...

Click Google.

Cast Media Controls are in there.

And this might not actually do anything mind you. I am no expert on the subject. I would personally see if my router had a guess network, and connect my phone to that, thus removing the phone from the network with the television which would prevent Casting.
Literally just said that setting does nothin

Yes, Yes. I am scrolling through my phone and rambling while I fiddle with it and the television to disable it.

You are welcome to go do the work yourself you know. I'll just figure out for my little lonesome and keep it to myself. I never noticed the whole shared network issue as I run my phone through the guest network as I have no need to use the function.
Yep. You are boned. It can not be disabled from the television or the phone as it is meant to be an idiot proof feature if they connect to your wifi.

Your options are pretty much...

1. Find out if your primary modem/router has a guest network and enable it. Connect phone to that.
2. If it doesn't, find out if it can support setting up a subnet. Connect phone to that.
3. If it can't, then drop 25 bones of so on a little travel router, plug it directly into the back of the modem, and create a subnet off that. Then you have your own quite little network where you won't have any worries. Connect Phone to that.

If you still care after 2 years you can disable it by going to
chrome://flags/#load-media-router-component-extension
and disabling the highlighted option
