PUGB is a Battle Royal game, meaning a hundred players jump out of a plane to land on an island, grab weapons and try to kill everyone else. Every few minutes the area gets artificially smaller by a forcefield that kills you if you stay in it. The last player standing wins the round.
For the points you get you can buy cosmetic items for your character.
A round usually does not last much longer then 20 minutes or so.
Thats it. PUGB is way more action oriented while you can run around for hours in DayZ without meeting anyone else or getting into a fight.
Also both titles are still Early Access and Alpha and have a lot of technical problems and bugs.
PUGB is also VASTLY more popular then DayZ. DayZ is mostly in the 3-5 k players online range while PUGB has around 600-800k on the average, topping a million here and there.
So its way more active.
So it depends a lot on what you want. Fast paced tactical PvP action in short rounds or survival gaming with slower progression and optional PvP.
Thanks for the help
