I think my brother said it gets better once it finishes up recapping the movies.

Its bait, super has gotten higher ratings than king one piece on some of its newer eps.

I'm behind on One Piece, but I already see the problem rearing its ugly head. Arc fatigue, it happened with Eneru's arc and now it's happening with Thriller Bark/Post Thriller Bark. It just feels like a slog to watch or catch back up.

Season 1 was rushed, only the first half is even about Sword Art Online and then after that it turns into a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ love story with all sense of urgency and danger thrown out the window.
Season 2 tried to bring back the "threat" but it still feels too much like a rom com.

I see what you mean. It did seem out of place to have no one really caring about getting out. I kind of felt the same way about Gate thus the JSDF fought there. Things got far too, "well this is totally normal". It kind of takes the allure away from having such alien situations.

Thoughts on Akame ga Kill? I thought it had a good plot, strong character development but like some part of the anime was kinda cheesy / out of place.

I always hear people blaming CGI, camera work and pacing, but I can't get over the fact that they censored Casca and made her white. What the hell is wrong with you Japan!?

I can get over the ps2-tier CGI but i cant get over cut plots, bad pacing and stupid censorship

The series tricks you into thinking that is deep but in the end it just uses shock effect by killing the characters after 1 episode.

The scissor girl doesn't have any personality aside from a generic sob story/past.

True, but some of the characters that survive such as Mine only to die later on has a profound effect. That scissor girl I couldn't care less about but the ones that truly matter really hurts your soul.
