Who's your favorite video game character ever?

Title says all. I legit want to hear it from people.

For me, it's without a doubt in my mind that Boyd's my favorite video game character. His personality's amazing, his character arc's amazing, his gameplay-utility's amazing, his romance subplot with Mist is amazing, his design is amazing... everything about Boyd just hits the right notes with me, and so much more.

Even more than that, he serves as a personal role model and hero to me. From how he grows from a newbie of the Greil Mercenaries to one of the most powerful, extremely strong units in the entire franchise isn't just inspiring, but the way he uses that power he earned to help people only further solidified my love for him. It's one thing to earn power when you start out with barely any, but to use that power to help people and constantly push your limits is something I find completely inspiring and relevant to me.

Boyd's always gonna be my boy. Who's yours?

What makes the Doom Slayer such an amazing protagonist is that he manages to convey more personality than most protagonists without saying a word. He clearly gives no ♥♥♥♥♥ about anything that isn't demon-slaying, but deep down, he's a very moral - if somewhat bloodthirsty - hero who displays his heroism over the course of the game, most notably when looking pissed after Hayden goes on and on with his "greater good" bullcrap while a dead innocent stands under the speaker.

More writers in the industry need to learn how to show, not tell.

Guybrush Threepwood... Mainly because it was the first series of games that I played that I really enjoyed and got into. I would say Rincewind but that is a bit of a cheat because I loved him from the books anyway.
