Then there's somewhat soundalike, but not quite, bands like Finger Eleven and Chevelle.
Or, you could go with the musical similarities in alt-metal/prog-rock, starting with Peter Gabriel-era Genesis or King Crimson, to modern stuff like Isis, Dream Theater, and Deftones.
Ministry is kind of similar to Tool with regards to both being kind of industrial and heavy metal obviously.
Nine Inch Nails is kind of similar as well to me but I'm sure somebody in the comments will get turnt over this.
