Here's one last one I created:
There are many possible numbers, but none are greater than the vastness of my current magnitude.
Yet, I decrease as you increase.
What am I?

skin

Here's a biblical one but I know it from Terry Deary's Wicked Words:

Out of the eater came something to eat.
Out of the strong came something sweet.

That does fit pretty well actually, because skin can sometimes tan and people can always get tattoos! The only problems I see is that not all skin begins white, and the epidermis is living tissue.

I'll hide it under a spoiler in case you'd like another guess, but here's the answer I was looking for:
cotton

My best guess was a guitar string. Thanks for the answer. Your riddle was interesting! :)

As for your riddle, I'm a little stumped. From out of the sin eater comes salvation?

That's not what I am looking for.

While it comes from the bible I don't think the answer is spiritual. I'll give you a clue: it most definitely involves the natural world.
I've got a few for you.

(1)
It cannot be seen, cannot be felt,
Cannot be heard, cannot be smelt.
It lies behind stars and under hills,
And empty holes it fills.
It comes first and follows after,
Ends life, kills laughter.

(2)
Alive without breath,
As cold as death;
Never thirsty, ever drinking,
All in mail never clinking.

(3)
This thing all things devours:
Birds, beasts, trees, flowers;
Gnaws iron, bites steel;
Grinds hard stones to meal;
Slays kings, ruins towns,
And beats high mountains down.
