Looking for a PC game with Player based Economy.
hey all, l am looking for a MMO or Online PC game that has the following

Auction House
Player made economy
Crafting
Selling goods on the auction house.

I basically want a game like Black Desert Online with Albion Online Player based economy.

Does this exist?

My favorite MMO of all time are

SWG and Fallen Earth. One is now closed the other is abandonware by the devs :(

Tried EVE,I dont like it. It has almost everything I seek, but holds zero fun factor for me.

Not sure if you prefer FPS games or not but as you play Elite I assume not a requirement. EVE Online has a nearly completely player run economy and as you seem to play Elite too I assume spaceship games are not out of the question and seeing your multiple PCs multiple monitors setup and that you play Elite too you seem perfectly prepared for it. You can play it F2P or go sub with real $$$ or in-game currency if you grind enough. You can also purchase PLEX (the in-game premium currency) for $$$ and sell them for in-game currency to kickstart your career and by doing so can also buy skill injectors for the same reason as well, but you can do just fine without them depending on what you plan to do and at what pace you want to progress.

Eve is one game I am not really into. I know it covers alot of what I want, but I am looking more for a earth bound MMORPG, or rather something not in space. I tried Eve, and just could not really get into it

Guild Wars 2 might be the closest thing to what you want.
The Auction House has prices set by players and you set buy and sell orders and all that stuff. It has API's for prices so websites keep track of how prices go up and down. No monthly fee.

If you want to try it then the basic free version is a good start, and if you want to buy it then get the newest expansion and skip the second newest one.
Original campaign is a bit slow but the new expansion stuff is great.

Isnt gear progression not a thing with GW2? I could go from start to end with the same gear basically?

No there is gear progression.

There is gear progression for sure, they scale low level areas down and the gear with it but it doesn't scale up if you have low level gear.
It might be a bit different than what you're used to but it's there.

Its not out yet, but you may want to keep an eye on this:

Still in the "backing" phase.

Yeah only problem with that kinda of mmo, mobs drop all the gear and its much harder to sell stuff on the market when every other mob drops gear. The markets get flooded and nobody wants it.

I need a MMO where somebody needs to farm the mats, then sombody crafts the gear, and the better you are as a crafter, the better the gear stats are. Every weapon, every armor peice, nearly everything of any value is player crafted,

SWG and Fallen Earth were the 2 mmprogs that have held that standard second to none. Really hard to find something todat. 2017 was a bad year for mmorgs lol

If you decide to try gw2 then remember that the old content is less exiting than the newer stuff.
If you get any expansion you get a free maxlvl boost that you can try on any class if you want, it comes with some good late game gear and everything so it lets you jump right into the new stuff.

Also if you try the expansion stuff and play the very start then you unlock a mount for all characters which will make the old content feel less slow.

Gonna pass 100% I fell for that with Albion Online, that crowfall is going to do the same with pay 2 win mechanics. I dont mind paying for stuff like pets in BDO or XP boost in ESO, but games that let you buy silver outright is cancer to any merchant. I could -and have- bought silver just to destablize the market and sell everything at higher prices. The somebody with more money did what I did, we raised hell crashing and jacking up the economy.

I am not 100% against pay to win mmorgs, but if they influence the game economy,, its game breaking for me.

Also need a game now, not whenever they decide to releas. Also the game graphics are a bit meh, but if gameplay is good, i can overlook graphics

Ill have to reinstall that and give it another try. I did buy the base game a few month before it went free to play, but I only got to level 20 or so and wasnt really feeling it.
and I know I am being ultra picky, but I intend to spend the next 2,000 + hours of my life on whatever mmo I pick, so I need something ill like lol

Sounds like GW2 still fits what you want, sure mobs drop gear but you can and should salvage it all for materials. all that crafting stuff still applies.

Except maybe for the affecting the stats of the item part.. There are set items with different stats but you can't just add +strenght here and -hp there..
Also there are other ways to get gear than from players and crafting.

I think gw2 might be very close to what you want.

Any opinions on WOW, Rift and Riders of Icurus? Never played those. I am currently reinstalling GW2 and debating reinstalling ESO, not played that since Beta, but I didnt like the guild merchant only thing

I played a bunch of wow back in the day but I'm way out of date on that info. I remember it having action houses limited to each realm at least.

If you're getting back into gw2 then you should give this a read: https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/5l1p4x/faq_new_and_returning_players/

Also consider making a post there asking your very specific crafting/gear questions in detail.

PS:and remember that the mounts in the expansion are way better and more fun to use than most other mmos :P
PPS: skip the heart of thrones expansion.
