Beats me why nobody tried to make Harry Potter MMO, this thing would be gold mine if done right. Probably nobody can afford the copyright.

Harry Potter hit it's Critical Mass of popularity before a games industry existed that can could capitalise. Between JK Rowling and WB, nobody at the time was in a financial position to really create a game that took full advantage of the franchie or it's fans.

I remember Chamber of Secrets being open world. Though it would be an interesting idea to make your own character, maybe in a world past the events of the Harry Potter books/movies. Just the whole instances and dangers of Hogwarts and, if it were an MMO, there would be "seasons" where each house would compete for the most points.

Not sure on that last thing, but I think it'd be an interesting idea.
