What are your thoughts on The Punisher series on Netflix?

I just finished it a couple days ago and I thought it was fantastic. Honestly my favorite out of all the Marvel series' (though I might be a little biased because the Punisher is one of my favorite characters). The action was heavy hitting and very brutal sometimes, especially the last two episodes. Jon Bernthal is perfect casting for the character as well. From someone who enjoyed Thomas Jane's Punisher, I can't see anyone but Bernthal as the character anymore. What are your thoughts?

Sh*t, I haven't watched it yet but his appearance in Daredevil series was awesome. I never thought that The Punisher will take place in a universe where a group of superheroes are fighting against a purple villain with an infinity gauntlet.

Yeah dude it's a great time to be alive. It's kind of a shame the shows will probably never crossover with the movies, but I'm also okay with that because the tones are completely different and the violence of the shows would have to be toned down drastically

I imagine you're talking about the Thomas Jane Punisher which I absolutely love as well. That movie is the reason I love the character of Frank Castle so much

Oh, I love the Dolph version from the 80's and the Ray Stevenson War Zone from 2008 as well. Each one of them got a separate part of the Punisher story completely right. If you somehow combined them, you would get the perfect movie.

I do love the Thomas Jane movie the best though... :)

I really enjoy that short! I always wished they would've made a sequel to that movie since they kept it open for one
