Why are so many 3ds games unadvertised?
Seriously Stella Glow, Rune Factory 4, and 7th Dragon Iii are some of the game I've recently played that I only came across by accident. Why are so many good games not put out there?

Who even owns this magical box your speaking of
Ask the publishers where they marketed their games. They most likely advertised where you don't see them. Like in web ads you may be blocking.

:qr:
the 3DS market is mostly kids and Nintendo fans. Not that anything is wrong with that.
I've heard of Rune Factory 4 but that's because I hang out around people who talk about XSEED's localization work.

I know 7th Dragon as an SNES game; never knew it got a sequel or two.

Never heard of Stella Glow.

I wouldn't mind seeing their ads if it didn't come with a flashing autoplaying ad somewhere else.

The 7th Dragon iii code VFD I'm talking about is the third in a series where you create your own team to fight dragons, I'm not sure if we're talking about the same series.

Stella Glow is from what I've played a tactics RPG that has to do with musical witches.

Nothing's wrong with that, except that they let perfectly good games undersell and sit next to the bargain bin and trash games. The ds had the same problems games like Dinosaur King, the Digimon World DS series, Room 108, Radiant Historia, and The World Ends With You. Some of them only for recognition retroactively due to the soundtrack or cult status.

They should realize by now that they need to include the older side of their fan base. You can say people didn't want a game when you don't even advertise it.
I mean if you have a 3ds, theres not a whole lot of great games.

And the really good ones spread a lot by word of online mouth.

If you got a 3ds its cuz you either wanted monster hunter, harvest moons, pokemon, or something else.

Or you were roped into trying 3D

Its not even a good system for playing DS games as no one carries them minus a few gems, And the eshop doesn't carry Ds games.

Its going to be sad to see it go because the switch is monoscreen so all the Ds/3DS games are gonna die instead of go into the switch eshop.

Nintendo is ready for the 3ds to die and the switch to take over. Killing miiverse was the first small step.

3DS is a great platform due to its massive library of handheld killer apps, but it's nearing the end of its life cycle. As Sashie stated, Switch's poised for a full takeover, and almost every major Nintendo franchise there is, even including ones previously handheld-only will likely make a transition to Switch.
If you buy a 3ds/2ds its almost a must to search greatest/best 3ds game list videos on youtube.

Before I bought most of my 2ds's games I looked up 3ds games with 100 hours or more on youtube.

My only real regret so far was pokemon X. Sun/moon are so much better, And X offers next to nothing for legends. Wish I had gotten omega ruby instead.

Oh wait, I'm thinking of 7th Saga. Oops! :summerghost:

From what I know ultra moon has most of the legends available late game. I've watched some hidden gem videos and that's why I started this topic. It's almost criminal how Nintendo treats series. The switch is okay but it's not as easily portable as even the new 3ds xl.

I got it for pokemon and stayed for monster hunter and other games. I think that they should port more games to 3ds for rare ds games.

Less than 300 grams is rather acceptable, considering how much even an average smartphone weighs. If anything, I'd say its display/performance/battery life pose larger concerns.
