Don't buy anime on Steam, don't buy ANY videos on steam.
Its just one big cash grab.
Most of the time, quality is low, it tends to ♥♥♥♥ up more then Windows 98 and its streaming.

This is not true..

I've bought an anime on steam myself and the quality is decent. Not only animes but also movies. Try out PAYDAY: The Web Series to see steam's streaming quality it for yourself.

Steam's stand on streaming online is that there's only one file format that it cannot be converted to different file types as it will take time. This is why whenever you upload videos on YouTube, it takes time to process (converting your video to almost all formats) even just to support iOS for the sake of it.

To me, there's no point of downloading it. It takes up a lot of space on your HDD and even illegal streamers prefers not to download it nor the stream sites to prevent their illegal content to be stolen. Its my way to support the anime industry and also steam.

IF you really want a downloaded portable copy then you can record the stream and watch it for yourself anytime you want.
