It was this one http://www.ign.com/articles/2017/08/30/pokemon-ultra-sunmoon-veteran-trainers-dual-pack-announced
I don't disagree that fan games can be better. Pixelmon mod is more superior than any pokemon game to date that I've played. And randomizer challenges are amusing to watch. But fan game communities are small and die easily.
I gave pokemom uranium a chance and it had unplayable fps on my computer. Pokemon clover, while i never played it was pretty fun to see playthroughs of. But then they die. Theres for instance not going to be a pokemon uranium 2.
Uranium = Fakemon mostly
There are fangames out there with legit gameplay and pokemon. Plus huge communities with trading, battling and even, Mysterygift. Can't say which names, but currently, there are at least 3-4 great fangames which reached cult status, are iconic and their communities are big. Not going to drop names, naturally, but that's that.
Also, Nintendo doesn't make games for PC and never launched, or is going to launch, a single version to contain all 821 pokemon. On the contrary, splitting them among all those different versions and now charging subscription for the bank, too... LoL. Which reminds me, shutting down games for pc where and when they never intended to develop games for pc themselves, ergo they don't lose sales and said games aren't even profitable but free, makes them 4x times the vandals they really are.
And don't forget ANOTHER METROID 2 REMAKE. Uranium wasn't the only victim out there, or the highest quality fan-creation, alas.
If a person really wanted too, they can complete a national dex with only buying 1 game like ultra sun or moon. Then Gts/wonder trading the rest. That's how I completed the alolan dex despite not having moon. I also got a great many pokemon from oras and X/Y this way despite not owning those games (except for X, but I barely played x)
Pokemon promotes trading, not just by increased exp. But using 2 pokes of different language/regions in the daycare greatly increases shiny chance of the baby. And some pokemon are different based on the region they came from, like scatterbug's final evolution.
If you don't have any names, thats the same as having nothing.
When you reach the second island you can scan this for the event ash cap pikachu (Not sure where you pick it up yet though)

When you reach your first pokemon center. You can save game. Exit game. Then at the game memu hit mystery gift. Select internet. It'll give you the event rockruff lvl 10 that can evolve into dawn lycanrock.
I just want the post game in a hurry. I'll try wonder trading soon and hope to replace my lvl 23 salandit with something in the 30s.
I do plan to reset ultra moon once i've caught all the legendaries. Trade them with my ultra sun friend (Any that he needs), then collect the legends again.
I also have a lot of event marshadow and event sylvally codes that I need to reset my sun multi times to use as well. (I can also collect a few event rockruffs).
The marshadow codes are good until feb 23, 2018. The date listed is how long gamestop was giving the cards out.
The Silvally codes are good until feb 13, 2018.
Update 1: Pokémon Bank will have an update for Ultra Sun and Moon Late November.
Update: The list of things you CANNOT trade to S&M is: new pokemon, new forms, pokemon with new abilities or new moves, or pokemon holding new items.
Update 3: The following TOTEM Pokemon Cannot Be traded: Marowak, Ribombee, and Togedemaru

Got a lvl 53 klefki from wonder trade. The old owner is wearing the post game Team skull shirt
With mystery gift pokemon you want to save the game before you talk to the guy in the poke center.
Then see what nature the poke he gives you. If its a non-optimal nature you soft reset by holding the L, R, start, and select button at the same time
Then load the save and talk to him again. Until you get your desired nature. The optimal nature for rockruff is probably jolly.
Jolly boost speed, but reduces Special attack. Rockruff is a physical attacker so it doesn't need the special attack stat.
Its not that important here though because you can get more owntemp rockruffs easily via breeding. But for pokemon like celebii that you pay ten dollars for, the nature being what you want is really important.
I spent an hour to find a ditto though. In sun they were easy to find. But now with grassy areas having a lot more pokemon types that are less rare an encounter than ditto. It took ages.
Also I found a shiny Abra in Ultra Moon just now. It teleported away and left me sad.
If you have the eshop version it has a mysterygift code of 12 fast balls. Those are good at catching abra. (Theres probably some pokecenter that sells them, but I forget which one).
Or if its night time in game, the most op balls should do, the dusk balls. If they weren't so ugly I'd use them for nearly everything.
Don't worry too much though, shiny's are easy to get in gen 7. That are also compeditively good.
If only i knew what the op is on about..
