How do you take high quality screenshots?
I always see screenshots from PC Gamer and other outlets with these visually stunning full on 1080p screenshots, but when I take them myself, they just..Appear off. I guess they look compressed. And I already know you can save an uncompressed copy, but it still looks the same.

When I'm playing games like GTA 5, Abzu, or Elite Dangerous, they look absolutely stunning on very high settings. I love taking screenshots. I want to show others. But when I take a screenshot and share it with a friend, it looks..Very different. It's like my friend and I aren't seeing the same thing. Because when I play it, it looks so much better than it does in the screenshot. Maybe it's just different because when I play it, it's rendering the environment around me? I don't know..

It feels like if you zoom in, they get kind of blurry..You notice the pixels. Then you look at images online, and you can zoom in, but the image is still crisp. I just feel like what I'm seeing as I'm playing looks different than what's captured by Steam.

So I'm not the only one that notices a difference? :\. I have a great build. A GTX 970 with an Asus 27' 1080p monitor, but I don't see how it could have anything to do at all with my hardware..That seems like a silly correlation. I mean, I run most games at very high settings.
you could also run the game in 4k and take a screenthot in 4k even if your screen is 1080p ...i really don't know how to do it though

You can crop with paint and use in game filters. I use a program to correct AA and sharpening etc to take my shots.

Its not hard, also knowing people that do the same and taking advice always helps

Does going into options, In-Game, and clicking the Save an Uncompressed Copy not improve the quality?

It looks better..But I'm just puzzled how this looks so great, and let's you zoom in:

Look at this, even.. https://i.imgur.com/0vZsVqz.jpg

You can zoom in, and the image still looks crisp. I feel like with mine, the edges are jagged

I don't know..The more I type this out, the more I'm beginning to think it's just my OCD..I can get pretty anal, sometimes. Like spending two weeks trying to optomize my system and run anti-virus scans just because on ONE day, it was a little slow.

btw you can also get a better antialiasing with ENB (so you won't notice the pixels)
without ENB[enbdev.com]
with ENB[enbdev.com]
i used it for skyrim and it was very cool (i don't know if it's good for gta 5 though)
http://enbdev.com/ss_gta5_01_en.htm

p.s: steam support will probably consider my message as advertising cause you didn't ask for a program to change the graphic settings of your game -_- ...im trying to help but maybe you think that im advertising too so let me know if im annoying

I love ENBs. Skyrim definitely looked the best with them. I have a few screenshots from my old m odded Skyrim.. https://imgur.com/a/PVZLb

You know, maybe it's also because when I notice screenshots online, they aren't full screen until I click on them..Whereas when I click open a screenshot of mine, it's already kind of taking up a lot of the screen in Windows Photo Viewer. If that's the case, I'm feeling kind of stupid right now.

Edit: Wait, but..I can still zoom in at full screen online, without the image getting pixelated.
