Hell of a lot better than Frontier.
Have you confirmed its the wifi or the service itself?
Switch to a hardline and begin having fun or else switch your provider.
People play competitive multiplayer on wifi?

Spectrum (aka Timewarner) has a civil monopoly in many jurisdictions, so it's very hard to switch.

Definitely hardline your connection, and then call the company to give them hell. They won't do anything, but it'll make you feel better.

stare into screen until it reconnects itself

Never had crashes, but it certainly is spotty.
The connection diminishes past as far as I can spit, and that's not exaggerating.
If you can, the perfect solution is being wired no more wifi cutting out.
The internet seems to be cutting in and out today... mostly right now..

See that inconsequential dip on the right? Well that totally didn't happen.
This seems to be Valve's problem today.
There have been dns attacks on the internet backbone lately.
