Is BundleStars (AKA fanatical) legit
Is the site BundleStars, now renamed fanatical, a legit key reseller, or do they obtain their keys in the despicable ways sites like G 2 A do?

Well...BundleStars has, so far, been legit.

I can't speak for new management though.

Do they obtain their keys from the devs themselves?
https://www.fanatical.com/en/ (formerly bundlestars) is completely legal and get their keys from the devs.

That, Humble, and Indiegala are the only three places I trust.

Also if you want more proof check the link and you will see that one of the people that works for Tripwire Interactive confirms it on the Killing Floor discussion page back when the game was on sale.
