Favorite Urban Legend, scary story, cryptid, etc?

Mothman is mine, hands down. The first time I read about it in a kid's mysteries book, my face was glued to the paper. An entire community that claims to have seen THE SAME THING!? That makes it harder to believe it's fabricated. I initially thought him as cute, maybe innocent, and I still do, but (if I recall) going into some more mature accounts show that witnesses say he tried to hurt them. Either way, he is believed to be an omen of bad events, as a bridge collapsed in the city around the time he disappeared, and some witnesses claim to have seen him and other flying objects during the crash. Others believe he is an alien, but I don't remember much of the evidence for it.

However, it appears many accounts of him slightly vary, and the statue built in his honor looks nothing like the sketch made by a witness
