Yes, the concept that an incredible amount of cheese and cringe in the dialogue, and the motion-controls were annoying, but I personally found the concept of a Medieval Fantasy Sonic game awesome, and as someone who's a major nerd for all things medieval, I pretty much fell in love with the game as a kid. Nowadays it's most glaring flaws is apparent, but I find the game fun and the message quite relevant ("live, let be, and enjoy your life to the fullest")
We can at least agree that Sonic 2006 is still the worst-written Sonic game ever though, yes?

If you want real "edgyness" then look at Shadow the Hedgehog game, Hatred or DmC: Devil may Cry.
