Explain your username!
Not first time this is posted, but we should keep it clean and its been a while. :awoo:

Alot of people here have names they have shaped and created over years, or used since forever that may have interesting history.

And then there is me.
Imma start.
Lilypads is name of a song I like by DROELOE.

I have changed many usernames through the years, heck, even in past month, but Im sure Ill keep this one for a longer while. I have used same usernames for years which got bland and boring.

Whats your story?

Tessa K. Pegram lähetti viestin:
TL;DR
I've always liked the name and it is the internet and I can call myself anything I please.

Back when I was in preschool, there was a girl in my class that had a worse time of it than I did. Our teacher had no business being a preschool teacher, she disliked kids more than I do. When I would get home, I was more interested in talking about what was what was going on with her. On the car ride home, after giving noncommittal responses to how my day went; my mother would say something along the lines of "alright, fine Tessa." No one in my family has ever called me Tessa though.

When I was in middle school I got traded an Alakazam named Tessa. It became a he and I couldn’t change the name so I ended up with a male Alakazam. I thought so screw it, that can be a guy’s name. I’ve known two guys named Kelly and a Natalie.
When I had a job about ten years ago, I had a coworker named Tessa. The two of us were called up front by a manager for help with a project. I got there first and since we had the same pants, shoes, and the manager did not look up’; she called me Tessa. High school coworkers being what they are took to calling me that. It beat being called ♥♥♥♥♥ so I went with it. I would have liked to have kept the name tag but I had to turn both it and the one I used in when I left.

Not entirely sure where I got the middle initial from. I’m open to suggestions on that one.

I got the last name from picking it at random from a Virginia road map.

I originally used the name for a main character in several stories I had written in school. Then I decided I might as well go by it when I created this account. I made sure that there really weren’t too many people with the name.
That is a name that sounds as if it is from a famous person. A name plastered everywhere. Classy and elegant.
Ive personally never heard name Tessa anywhere (then again im not living in country where English is first language) so maybe thats why, i find it appealing.
Thanks for in depth explaination.
bam-o Idk, maybe I just thought of BAM and than added the O? Can't really think back to why I would make it this haha.

I was just browsing Youtube looking at trash tier memes (cringey let's plays) and the top comment was "help?" upside down. I kept thinking about it so I changed my steam name to this.

Before that it was the edgy "NunOfUrBizness"

I've considered changing it to "Thot Cop" but I resisted.

The oldest nickname I can trace is Guarana2010. As the name suggests, I made it in 2010. I used it on a polish Peer-to-peer sharing site, Chomikuj.pl. Guarana is the polish name for a substance used in energy drinks, similiar to caffeine and taurine.

The first proper nickname I had was Ravelam, which I used back around 2011-2012. It might've been based on something which I don't remember, but as far as I know it was just a result of a brain dump. I played a lot of Minecraft on that name.

After that came Cordian. I used that one inbetween 2012-2014. It was based on a fan video explaining the origin of one of the villains in My Little Pony, Discord, who supposedly was called Cordian in a previous life or something (I don't remember it too well). This is the name I originally used on Steam, as I wasn't using Steam back when I had the name Ravelam. That's the name I used for the majority of my time playing Call of Duty 4, mostly on a LowGravity, SlowMo server owned by a clan called RiP, or Rest in Pieces, which I actually tried to join. This is why, for the first couple lf months of me being on Steam I ised the nick "RiP.R CordianPL" (R standing for Recruit and PL being my ethnicity; polish). This is also the name I had when I was scammed for the first time on Steam. A guy (the leader of the RiP clan, going by the name of Necr0 at the time) used my lack of knowledge to buy my 7 or 8 trading cards (worth about 1.66 ref) for a Detonator (worth 0.05 ref)

The current name, Saphayla, is the result of my looking for a new nickname to use. At the time I was using a lot of unoriginal names, for example Margaret Borowski, based on a character with the same name from the game Night In The Woods, or Chairdolf Sitler, a name of a Skyrim character of a YouTuber named General Sam, or Cereal Killer, a pun based on the words Cereal and Serial sounding the same, etc. The first bit, Saph, is based on the gem Sapphire, and the other part, Ayla, is just there to make the name complete and to give it a feminine sound. I've been using it for about 9 months now.

It's the name of the squadron you lead for the first half of Ace Combat 5, which just so happens to be my favourite game.

It also helps that it's fairly short and easy to remember.
My crush's name mixed with weaboo garbage.
