Im currently gonna be on vacation with not alot of wifi / time to use my craptop. Would the community of steam be able to point me to the 1 in 1000 games on mobile that are actually good?

Have you considered actually enjoying the vacation itself? Its supposed to be a departure from the stuff you do all the time, so that you get to relax.

Dead Trigger (1st one as the 2nd is online only) if you like zombie shooter games
Glory of Generals series if you like strategy conqueror games

The only mobile games I play anymore are Shadow Fight 2, Fairune, Slayin, Tainted Keep, and Pixel Starships.
I guess Dead Effect is okay too. It's fine for a mobile game; not worth a lick of salt as a Steam game.

This post makes me remember how much I miss Defender of Texel.

How about Detour or Factorio?
I don't know mobile games but they look simple enough for phones.

King's Raid. Though it is becoming more p2w with every patch. it is still a good game ignoring pvp though.

"Robotek" or "Reaper" by developers called "Hexage".
Robotek is free, with few microtransactions, and not P2W.
Reaper is a free demo, but it's definitelly worth the $0.99 for the full game, in my opinion.
