Yeah, i mean i have work, and all, but that doesn't mean i want to rush through my games. lol
I am so bad at fighting games, but i see the apeal. lol SP games just lets me play how i want, without anyone trying to bother me, and such.
Play single player games if you don't like multiplayer.
Well if they ar emy friends i would know what they were going through, and would hurry to help them. But there are MP games like MMOs, and such that i want to play, and enjoy, and there are games like Destiny 2 that also enjoy but i want to take my time. I wish they would just let me play by myself then. Whats the point in making all these beautiful enviroments, and such if we're just gonna rush past all of it in a second.? Idk, maybe it is selfish, but i paid for the game, and i feel like i should be able to play it how i want.
What's the point of creating a living, breathing world if you expect your players to only play it for the loot?
Selfish probably isn't the word for it, everyone enjoys games differently but when it comes to games which generally repeat content so the players can grind currency then a lot of people start to lose patience.
Destiny 2 can be played single player but it also has some missions which require team work but the multiplayer levels can be experienced single player, the only difference is the enemies and the objectives so you're not missing out on the art and stuff.
As I said, I do understand your point.
Because loot takes time to get and time keeps players paying the mmo subscription or in the case of destiny, keeps players wanting to be max light level.
EXACTLY! lol Why try making your team make beautiful enviroments, and lore if everyone is just gonna rush past it? Like excuse me for trying to take those developers work more seriosuly.
I didn't know it could be played single player, this wa smy frist time with the series, and i didn't see any way for it it let me play by myself, if this is the case then awesome. Even if they did it before, that doesn't mean my first time playing those missions should be rushed. I should be able to slowly enjoy it too. They can join a different group if they don't like it.. Though if i cna play SP it doesn't really matter.
What I can say is a lot of the game could be played single player such as patrol where you could go to one of the planets and do side missions and visit areas that you visit while playing with other players on a mission.
Ok that sounds cool.. THough what i said still goes with many other MP games than just Destiny 2.. I am glad to hear i can play by myself though. Thanks for the info.
That's not an answer to my question as in, it doesn't address what I asked - why waste resources on worldbuilding if your game is designed in a way that makes people ignore it?
I wouldn't play the game if it wasn't for other people, some games are just made by other people.
