Looking for some good RTS games

Hi, I'm looking for some RTS game that is set either in today's era or in future, but has permanent corpses (or at least that they don't disappear right after death) and no "team colors"
What I mean by team colors: in most RTS games, player chooses a color and then his units have this color all over them. I don't want this.
I'm looking for something like Dawn of War, but less fantasy.
Any tips?

Total Annihilation. Has no infantry, but not only are the husks permanent, you can salvage them for resources.

Not sure if there is a game like you are asking for sadly. Would be cool if there was though. Most of the RTS games I know are set in the past.

Or in the toy world of plastic Soldiers.

Yeah, it's pretty much the Gold Standard...until DOW3 came out.

Exactly :(
I know a few, but they don't meet my criteria. For example the CNC series (doesn't have permanent corpses, has team colors) or Starcraft, or World in Conflict (doesn't have team colors, that's good, but the corpses and vehicle wrecks disappear in like 30 seconds)
I also tried Tom Clancy's Endwar, really cool game, sadly the camera in that game works in a very weird way and I can't get into it.

Eh I liked Army Men RTS and Company of Heroes more. I might just need to spend more time in Dawn Of War though. I might of not given it a fair chance.

Company of Heroes is great, especially with the blitzkrieg mod which removes the blue and red colors from vehicles. But it doesn't have permanent corpses + it's set in WW2. (Not a bad thing, but I'm more into the present/future setting)

Future would imply fantasy, no? Or by fantasy do you mean like D&D

By fantasy I mean magic. For example in the Dawn of War universe you have daemons, spells, etc.
I'm looking for games set in that "sci-fi" future setting. More oriented on technologies, or perhaps aliens, with no magic.

If I remember rigth there is a mod for Company Of Heroes that sets it more in a 1990s theme or something not present though. It is more or less in the Afgan war times. Not sure what it was called though.

There is a modern combat mod too, I even managed to make the corpses stay with the mod tools. Sadly, the mod is unfinished - not much units and very small amount of maps.
A very good mod, I spent a lot of time playing it, it just became boring after a while because of not enough content.

Although CoH you cannot color your armies like in Dawn of War and in Supreme Commander you can color your armies, but only one color. You still should get them all though :P
