Steelseries Stratus XL problems (Windows 7)
Hi. I have some issues and don't know where to find help, so I thought I'd try off topic incase someone else has also had this experience and can inform me of the cause of the problem. I tried googling and couldn't get any result that matched my issue, it seems like once again I am the only sucker on earth with an annoying IT issue.

I have a Wndows 7 pro (x64) PC with a Targus Bluetooth 4.0 adapter. I bought a Steelseries Stratus Xl and paired and connected it with a minimum of fuss.

after about a week the back button became sticky and nearly non resoponsive, sometimes it took a dozen hard and long presses before it registered, this was present in every PC game. withing another week of that the right trigger was dead. and would not work at all. Not only that there seemed to be some confusion in either the controllers firmware or the software, because when I used the left stick it acted like I was hammering the right trigger to, so when I walked and strafed in every game I was firing my gun constantly even when the only part opf the controller I was touching was the left analogue stick.

I RMA'd the controller at the store I purchased it from, and got a new one. it is now about a week later and now the back button is sticking on the new one.

Am I just the unluckiest person on earth and keep getting shoddy merchandise that shouldn't have passed through their QC, or is this an issue with the Bluettoth adapter, Controller firmware, the steelseries engine 3, or tha fact that I am on Windows 7 and not Windows 10?

What are the odds of RMAing a faulty controller and getting another faulty controller with what looks like the exact same faullt and not being able to get a result googling the exact fault?!

I'll add my full system specs in case someone recognises a known hardware confilct.

I just googled for this problem, and just to let you know, if you still not figured it out, yeah....don*t worry you are not the only one with this problem.

And it is a Windows Bluetooth driver problem, witch nobody gives a ♥♥♥♥ about.
I RMA'd the second controlller, and now use an Xbox One S Controller in wired mode via microUSB cable to avoid the Windows 10 requirement.

Yeah, it looks like that is the only option - to buy a MS product. Those woozy-ass-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ made the drivers screw other controllers on purpose. And SteelSeries won't give a ♥♥♥♥, and not speaking of their support ... They don't even have a phone number to call.

I can't even RMA it. LOL

It came in a bundle with my MSI Trident.
But if I new this problem, I would maybe opt for the keyboard bundle.

I hope this will be sortet out in the upcoming Windows Fall Update, or maybe the suckers at MS won't fix it.

Whatever, I'm glad you can play the games properly now. :)

And sorry for my language, but sometimes those corps. get on my nerves. ^^

Happy gaming!

That's OK I understand completely, MS is a cancer with it's Skynet, I mean Windows 10 Virus. I also agree that MS purposely make their drivers ♥♥♥♥ with non MS hardware to force the gamer into buying MS hardware.
