New vs Old Games
Hello everyone,

I'm new to pc gaming as of the start of this year and I'm still learning the ropes. Two things that I've noticed about pc gaming as opposed to other consoles. One is how many new games come out each day, even just on steam. The other is how many sales there are on older games constantly.

I'm curious to hear your opinions on whether you buy new games and who of you, like me, only buy old games on sale?

Portal 2, Counter Strike Global Offensive, Dota 2, and soon to be Artifact?

No, Portal two was released in 2011. Everything after isn't worth it.

Do not forget the old Sims games such as Sim City 2000, The Sims, Sim Tower, Commando's series, and so on! Also the plastic Army Men Series.

I mostly only buy games that are at least 2 years old and on sale, save alot of money that way because I'm not in a hurry to play all the new games anyway since there are tons of great games I haven't played yet.

Basically I agree with this guy :

Why pay 60 for the same game you can get at 20 2 years later? Unless its multiplayer only and dead by that time?

Plus playing slightly older means you don't need the rip your wallet to shreds top of the line computer parts. $500-1000 for a high level graphics card. What are your smoking? Almost $200 for ram? No thank you.

And you don't get screwed over by all the full price dlc.

I only buy on SALE. I own over 830 games, and all but 1 was purchased ON SALE at a very large discount. Not only do you save money, but by the time they go on sale, most of the bugs have been worked out and patched. Win Win.

Also a great point! Every time I look over new games it seems that they are filled with negative reviews full of bugs. It's like I'm waiting out the price and the bugs...
