Do both? I mean why limit yourself?
Youtube maybe. Then maybe at some point make my own site that recreates the old youtube with the star System and current system. That way people can see the Stars and numbers if they want., no ads, and no taking videos down because it has certain music in it or so on.

Invest in something else first.

if u become a successful youtubers you might not have the time to do live stream on twitch .-.
If you become successful on Twitch it's illegal to mirror the stream (While it's live. Recordings of the stream after it's finished are still permitted) on Youtube because of Twitch's TOS.

I think it works in reverse too.

I don't know about that but regardless it's simple enough to upload a video stream from twitch to youtube after the fact.

That's what I said.

You cannot mirror a Twitch stream to another website while it's live due to Twitch's exclusitivity rules in their TOS.

So there's nothing stopping OP from using both youtube and twitch, which is what I was saying. :P

It is sad to be honest. Years ago I remember no ads and not much censorship. I say blame google.

Neither, being successful on both turns it from an enjoyable hobby to a stressful obligation to keep fans happy.

A self-imposed publishing treadmill. Correct.

The issue with YouTube right now is that monetization isn't working properly thanks to YouTube arbitrarily deciding what is and isn't "advertiser friendly", often saying videos with no marketable qualities or anything a 5 year-old couldn't understand must go through an appeal to get monetization, working in a "guilty until proven innocent" manner contrary to how its always been. Additionally, the issue with Twitch is the site prioritizes major streamers and games over minor ones due to ad revenue, so getting even your first couple viewers on Twitch is an uphill battle of ridiculous proportions, especially given that monetizing on Twitch requires 3 streams and roughly 5 hours of content a week on a regular basis with a regular audience. There really isn't a third option right now, Vidme and Mixer don't offer much in the way of taking videos professionally unless you run revenue through a third party like Patreon or something like that.
Of course a YouTuber — my makeup tutorials aren't gonna go viral over at Twitch after all. :NONPLUSSED_CREEP:

Twitch tv cause of all the donations, also you can double dip and have an editor edit funny parts of your stream and upload them on youtube. :smithydollar::smithydollar::smithydollar:
