Even if the game is focused on realism or only uses basic movement, being able to move around swiftly and precisely can add alot to gameplay.
If camping is a problem in a game then it is either a badly designed game/map or you will just need someone skilled to kill the camper, perhaps a co-ordinated effort from 2 or more of you. There is usually a way to take them out and if you cannot then you deserve to lose. I do not like the playstyle myself but I can see that on certain maps in certain game modes (like CTF for example) it is a logical thing to do. I much prefer to be mobile though.
