Anime question

My 10 yr old bro is into Anime, and wants to see more.

He likes Fantasy (monsters, weapons) and hates fan-service.

Scary monsters and blood are not a problem, but too sexual things like♥♥♥♥♥♥are not okay.

Any suggestions?

lol. I see someone is a "Something Witty" fan. Yeah, this is going to sound silly, yet I actually recommend the SAO novels, as they actually cover a lot of plot holes and inconsistencies the two series had, the largest being that all the material for the episodes were originally written WAY out of sequence. You still get Aincrad stories that appear early in the series written after the material for SAO 2. It's a real damned mess. Plus they cut a massive amount out if the overall story as the series leaves out close to two years of what the characters are up to.

Wait. Why am I defending SAO. I find it a passable anime that is overly emotionally manipulative and got way over hyped for what it was. If I want people trapped in video game I'll watch .Hack//Legend of the Twilight (which I am), Overlord, Log Horizion (Bad ass cat fencer FTW!!!), BTOOOM!, Ixion Saga DT, No Game No Life, or the Summer Wars movie.

Wow... I have a lot of gaming based anime I like better.

No, ecchi doesn't contain fan service. In the ecchi genre, sexual nudity and the like serves the plot, so it can't be fan service. The core point of ecchi is to please the audience, and it does that knowing it. Getting rid of the ecchi parts of an ecchi anime completely gets rid of it's core point; pleasing the audience.

(sexual) fan service doesn't apply to the ecchi or hentai genre.

Fan service can be annoying but sometime its pretty nice.

An anime just full of fan service was the new one where its a cooking college. And If a cook's dish is good enough the tasters clothes fly off. Season 1 was pretty funny, but season 2 was meh at times.

Where as the red haired girl in gurren had fan service proportions so she was easy on the eyes.

Asuna is kinda boring and bland character.
Kirito's edgyness is on cringy leves. Also, he tends to forget who the real black swordsman is.
