Rift, not so great. Very boring I thought.
*When i say no grinding I mean it. If you finish with one area, there's always a dozen more you can visit. You'll have hit max level before you've explored even half of the map!
There's basically no content in the game that requires any grinding to compete, but once you've done that content, everything left to do is based on grinding. On the bright side, there is a TON of stuff to work towards so you'll really never be done with it all.
And it's still pretty solid today, it recently got an X-pac that was favourably reviewed. As for sub/f2p I don't know.
I really don't care about end game content.
Most games focus on that content though, but it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid because the destination isn't important, it's the journey that is important, GW2 seemed like the only mmo that understood this
