I don't know what the sides stand for and I prefer to not label myself, but from what I heard actual liberalism (not this SJW trash) is about fighting for everyones right to an opinion so i'll go with that.

'SJW' is used to describe all instances of liberalism. It's a strawman created by the right to discredit liberals.

Also liberals and conservatives are both on the right. Liberals have very little in common with actual leftists.

USA is still a young nation discovering its identity, really.

Personally I often describe it as a "Rebellious teenager phase who thinks they own the place and ain't nobody tellin' THEM what they can or can't do." Historically, that's where USA is - but any state that ever was any sort of power went through that phase.

Ah that's why right-wingers are such staunch supporters of the right to abortion or euthanasia, or so against sending people to fight wars half the word away.

Because the right-wing obviously don't want to let the government have the power to invade a woman's womb, or the power to send someone out to risk life and limb for the benefit of the government honchos. And to not get me started about euthanasia, obviously everyone should have the right to decide when and how to end their life, according to the right.
