Do all shows go downhill?

I cant think of a single show thats gotten better as it went on. Futurama, the Office, the Simpsons, The Walking Dead, almost all of them. The only ones who didnt go downhill ended early like Breaking Bad.

It started off mediocre but got better and better as it went on.

The animation in the final episode is among the best I've ever seen in an anime.

Rick and Morty has gotten better.

Adventure Time went way down hill though

It's all about ideas. Writers will usually use all their best ideas near the beggining and then have to rehash plots or use worse ideas as time goes on. Shows like Breaking Bad stayed good because they ended. The overarching plot was able to have a clearly defined beggining middle and end. For example, Futurama didn't have any clue when they would end, so they just used ideas as they came along. Eventually you will run out of ideas.

season 7 is very different from the rest of the show, and its probably gonna keep going away from its roots the further it goes on, thanks scott gimple.

season 8 is gonna be an action movie basically

First season was pretty average, but it got much better later on. Darth Maul/Savage Opress episodes (especially The Lawless) are probably the best in the entire show and are easily my favourite.

no the walking dead sucks now only season 1 and 2 were pretty great. The pacing and characters went way downhill after that and a lot of whats happened is very unrealistic and over the top. So many filler episodes and bad decisions
