Strongest fictional characters ever created?

What I'm looking for is suggestions for who/what is the strongest being ever created in fiction.
My choice would be Azathoth from HP Lovecraft
To put it simple Azathoth is dreaming of existence. Concepts of reality such as death, destruction and life including laws of physics are all made up by his dream. He isn't aware of it though because he isn't lucid. Should he ever regain consciousness of any level the reality would be reconfigured or destroyed.
