PS4 Controller water damage problem
So yesterday I had acidentally spilled some soda on my ps4 controller and it was drenched so I grabbed a towel and dried it off and set it back on my desk after a while it began randomly vibrating for no reason and it wasnt even powered on it kept on vibrating on and off for about an hour so I let it run out of battery and then recharged it and it stopped vibrating once I powered it on so I decided to play some persona 5 and here is where the problem starts so I was continued from my last save and every time I move the left stick left it also activates L2 and does the weird vision sense thing and makes it almost impossible to play also my circle button does not even work I did use the secret restart button on the bottom of the controller but I havent tested it out to see if it works or not but if there is some sort of fix to this please help because I really don't want to buy a new controller.

The soda probably shortcircuited the components due to there being a power source still connected, aka the battery.
Considering my past experiences with keyboards, it might be dead.

i'm not a tech expert, but basically the acidic contents of the soda has gotten into the inside of the controller, messed with the circuitry, caused buttons to stick and the button inputs to go awry and...thats basically the height of it, you can try take it to a repair store or google possibly solutions but it might end up cheaper to buy a new controller.
If it was just water, it might of stood a better chance, but in general, technology and liquids of any sort are a bad combination.

Water would probably kill the components just as fast, depending on the salt concentration.

thats why i said "might have" and "but in general, technology and liquids are a bad combination"

If it was water, you could have put it in a bag of rice, left it for a while and it would have been fine.
Soda would leave sugar dried to the surface, the acid might have ruined some of the circuitboard as others have stated.

You might get away with taking the case of and cleaning the buttons and wiping the sugar off the board if it's a last resort.

Soda pooched it.... soda pooches everything electrical.... might as well just buy a new one.
Thanks for all of you're comments I'm most likely going to buy a new controller since this one seems completely broken but thanks for the comments otherwise!
