Hunting/fishing/camping are a way of life here in the Midwest. Went out hunting for the first time when I was 5. Oct. is fast approaching here.
For showing off, no way.
Do not know anyone in these parts who not eat what they hunt.
I also don't want to see dead deer on my Facebook page. Every year I have a couple of Facebook friends posting pictures of deer they've shot...
Where is the respect in shooting a defenseless animal for your own amusement?
Not all hunters hunt animals for their amusement though.
My first post covered this already. The post you have quoted is aimed at those who are hunting for pleasure.
That blade cuts both ways, the "western" lifestyle is a lot more damaging to the environment, meat or no meat.
