RX 580 or GTX 1060? and recording software?
Hi, I have extra money lying around now and I am wanting to buy a new gpu, ( I have a 750ti 2gb at the moment) but I can't decide, I have done quite abit of research, but can not decide, could someone help me?
I do record and edit vidoes often, and for recording I do use shadow play from time to time, does AMD have recording software that can compete with Shadowplay?
and Which card would be best for gaming? I am wanting to get the new COD as it comes out and want to be able to run it at decent settigns at 60+ fps without having to overclock my card.
Any Idea on what to buy? reguarding specs and software.

Thanks

Yes, AMD has Relive, which uses less power to record, overall making things run better than your average OBS styled program.
If you're looking for good performance in games with a good recording software to back it up, its the 580, however if you want peak performance it's the 1060, I would personally go with the 580, as both cards perform about the same, with some small advantages going towards each card, the largest advantage being the 580 with Relive.

Well said. But 1060has shadowplay(alternative to relive for amd) which records with minimal fps loss. I'd also like to say that obs have special encoders for nvidia/amd cards that allow minimal fps loss as well.

OP: I'd recommend 580 8gb over 1060 6gb because of the 2gb difference even though the two cards are equal.
