Even ghost in the shell: Stand alone complex has the Tachikomas that are... kinda cute.
The 1995 Ghost in the Shell movie however has no cute sequences at if I remember correctly.

But I disagree, Gantz is cute for a couple of chapters until the cuteness is brutally murdered in the next fight.
