If you could build your dream house anywhere with no limit to money where would it be and what would the design be?

Location and Rooms

Mine would be in the north pole, it would be 30,000 square feet (not including the in-door) with state of the arc designs. I would have a living room, 2 master bed rooms, movie room, 3 big bathrooms with 2 containing fancy bathtubs, a massive kitchen with a big island, an observatory room with one way bullet proof glass, a in-door heated pool, a cozy gaming room with a very good rig, a private landing strip, a armory room with steel reinforced concrete walls (that would contain assault rifles, sniper rifles, pistols, knifes and shotgun) and last of all a room for my security AI.

Self Sustaining and Security Systems

My facility would be completely self sustaining with magnetic generations (there self sustaining), a water filter system for all water sources and for my food I would have a private plane that would bring me fresh produce and other essentials. I would even have my own radio tower(s). My facility would have an advanced security AI that would have cameras, pressure plates and motion lasers. I would have little robots that would go around my house and vacuum and clean. Just for good measure I would have Anti-Air defense systems and a nuclear shelter under my house.

House Customization

Living room: Dark brown thick carpet with dark colored couches and a 85 inch TV with sound sound, I would also have some gaming consoles and some glass tables.

Master Bedrooms: I would have a king size bed with bamboo sheets and pillows, I would have glass tables and fancy lights that are very expensive.

Movie Room: Something similar to the living room accept brighter colors.

Bathrooms: Bright colored bath rooms with one way bullet proof glass windows looking out-ward to the desolate ice land and it would they would be well lit.

Kitchen: Floor would be expensive tile and the table tops would be heavy white and black marble, well lite with state of the arc kitchen equipment.

Observatory: It would be a tower 40 feet off the ground over looking the cold harsh waste land.

In-door Pool: It would be heated and the temperature would be auto controlled, it would be about the size of 3 buses and the deep end would be 25 feet.

Gaming Room: It would be dimmed and dark, the rest is pretty predictable.

Armory: Military grade, steel reinforced concrete walls with tons of weapons.

AI Security Room: 100 meters in the ground with steel-reinforced concrete walls and self sustaining magnetic generators that would be dedicated to my security AI.

Hmm I would have to look into it. I got the general idea down. But not the supplies and idea on what materials I would use on them at the moment.

I figure they would be pretty solid though and very smooth in the same time. Reason being I want the place to be very strong but also nice to the touch.

It's like The Sims but in your head.

Front door facing east. On a mountain or hill in a temperate climate, somewhere remote. Steel reinforced concrete structure 2-4 acres large. Outside walls 5 feet thick. Three floors above ground and one below ground. The above ground part would enclose a central roofless area and be equipped with wind and solar power generation equipment. A short wall around the perimiter of the top so people can safely walk up there. Drains on top and in the middle to gather rainwater which then goes through a reverse osmosis filtration system before use. No windows on the outside of the bottom floor at all and the ones on the top floor would be bulletproof and opaque from the outside. No lights on the outside but video cameras covering everything in infrared at night. Enormous steel door one foot thick that slides in and out of place for the front door.

Ground floor would be a large kitchen and dining area with stonework walls and wooden floors. With an Oak dining table for 10 or 20. Dining area would have a large window between it and the roofless middle area. There would be a magnificent fireplace in the dining area which would exist for mostly ornamental purposes because there aren't enough trees to ever heat the place with wood. It would be possible to close off the chimney to reduce heat loss when its not in use. In the middle unroofed area would be a garden with a few bee hives. And some areas for people to sit and enjoy the sun or stars. Rest of the inside of the ground floor would be bedrooms and living or social areas. There would be a nice wooden pool table somewhere too.

Top floor would have the master bedroom, which would be completely soundproofed with a steel door openable only from the inside when locked to prevent any possibility of being woken up. If i die in there and they have to use the jaws of life to get me out so be it. The layout of the bedroom is something that has a lot of significance to me but it would take too much explanation. Suffice to say it would also serve as a place for me to meditate and involve water and fire features. Also on this floor is the observatory, computer room, gymnasium, and several bedrooms for any kids i might have.

Basement floor has an area for growing things using LED lights in whatever is the most efficient manner. A sauna. Lots of storage space. Large freezer. A theatre for watching movies. A room with a padded floor and mirror walls for martial arts or dance or anything else. Safe room/bomb shelter and armory. Also a cat room. The entire inside of the house will have tunnels and walkways for cats, and they will all originate here.

Other features are that there are stairs at each corner of the building behind locked doors to prevent people invited to the ground floor from venturing upstairs or downstairs when unsupervised. And a freight elevator to get heavy things from the ground floor to the basement for storage. Ground floor has bathrooms at each corner, top floor has a large master bathroom and each of the childrens bedrooms has its own small bathroom with a shower. Basement has one simple bathroom.

Helipad outside on the west side with a secure back door on the building for easy access to freight elevator. Large radio antenna on top of the structure somewhere for communication. Also a fiber optic internet connection.

All i can think of right now. Might just be able to survive an apocalypse in that thing. Or at least get some peace and solitude.

Edit: Decided this should be three stories tall, but i have no idea what to do with the extra floor.

Not to rain on the OP's parade but you realize there is no dry land at north pole, only sea covered by ice and building all this monstrosity on moving sea ice is kinda problematic.

I'd also be just fine in a trailer. I don't actually require that much space.

The marsh is nestled between the mountains to the west and a forest to the east. The water level is maintained through snowmelt and usually close to room temperature. The mountains help to keep the more severe weather to the west. The temperature range is 54-72 (12-22c). The water level is about two feet high. A foot above the waterline is a boardwalk anchored to the massive redwood trees that rise from the waterline. The second walkway is twenty to forty feet above the lower one. Access to the higher boardwalk and homes is provided by hydraulic lifts which are powered by pipes that run from several windmills. The flow of the water in the pipes is controlled by a switch at every place that the pipe branches off. A natural gas reserve below provides lighting and some power for cooking. Food preservation is done with the natural salts that can be mined from the mountains.

Below the waterline are various grasses and silt build ups provide areas above the waterline where some small-scale farming can be done. Important buildings such as a hospital and other emergency services are on islands not suitable for farming. Wild animals that inhabit the area live on some. Fishes live in the water with a few predatory animals in the grasses. The bat population helps keep the more unpleasant insect population at bay.

The houses are anchored to a tree and tend to be circular in shape. The larger houses that have two floors are secured with a pair of trees. The top floor is typically at the same level of the second boardwalk and serves as the main living area with the bedrooms on the lower level. If the house is one floor it is level with either the top or bottom boardwalk. A few single floor houses are higher up and require a lift or rope bridge to access. Regardless of how many floors, the refuse is disposed of through pipes that run down the trees and into a collective pipe to be washed away from the settlement. A point of pride is the staircase which is kept in good shape and can be elaborate. The main portion of the first floor is a dining area with a small kitchen to the side, a general living area, usually there is a bookshelf carved into the tree, and down a hallway is a bathroom with a shower and squat toilet.

. My home consists of two levels and requires the support of three trees. The first floor is dominated by a library, a myriad of plants, and a track in the floor four feet wide and two feet deep which allowed koi fish to swim through the various rooms. Various aquatic plants kept the water’s oxygen saturation at a hospitable level. There are areas where there are fewer plants which serve as living areas. One to the side has a couple shelves built of wood from the birch trees in the east. A small sofa is there for comfort and reading. Light is provided from a few gas lamps. By the sofa serving as coffee table is a sweatbox large enough for someone to sit cross-legged with their back to it. A mask made from the skinned face of a deer rests on top.

The kitchen is modest enough and is well stocked. A couple lights in the ceiling make it possible to see at night. The bedroom has a bed with a birch frame and has a small set of shelves next to it.
