It seems people are divided: some of you say the new 2DS will be fine, some of you say the new 3DS is superior and some of you say just get a PS4 / XB1.
In response to the latter, I DO own a PS4; that is my "go to" console of choice. :) As far as the Switch goes....show me the games. I can't think of ANY Switch games out now besides Zelda that are triple AAA. So as it stands, I'm stilll getting the 2DS at month's end. I'm really interested in "Ever Oasis", I also enjoy downloading from the eshop ect...
I have a 3ds which just serves as an expensive dust collector. I liked, but mainly ending up playing old ds games on it. Although since I preferred the Vita I'm aware of being in a minority.
I had a coupon so it was just 23 bucks...
my brother has one and he has a bunch of emulators on it. so yea probably depending on which one you want to play.
my 3ds can barely fit in my pocket,and a 2ds wouldn't either
but hey if you want go for it
it is a very machine. it is a good. it duz a thing. MANY THINGS! iz gud.
Then I heard switch is probably getting a gamecube virtual console and it'll probably get wii u ports of the best wii u games. And it's getting a monster hunter, disgaea 5, ect
Like mabye switch will end the game boy for a generation.
Nintendo might pull a Wii u and I buy a 2ds and they suddenly kill support for it. Probably not though.
Its a hard choice as both are hand held consoles. With the switch being way more powerful (Wildly popular so ninteno probably won't abandon it for a few years) and not as ancient tech like the 3ds/2ds.
The processor in the new 2ds isn't that huge a leap from the old and now really cheap 2Ds.
