Would you buy ( or do you own ) a Nintendo 2DS?
I just reserved the new Nintendo 2DS. I thought that the price point was fair ( 150 ) and there are a handful of games that I really, really want!

my 3ds is my favorite system I own, even over PC. Though I'd say the new 2ds is a much better option over the 3ds considering the build is sturdy and has less risk of damaging your cartridges (has a closed game slot instead of an open one) There's a huge variety of games and genres you can take on the go or curl up on the couch and play with some buddies. They aren't small games either as is the common misconception. Most 3ds rpg's like Pokemon, fantasy life, monster hunter, and dragon quest have hundreds of hours of content. Now's the best time to invest because 2018 is most likely the last year of the system's support from Nintendo. Hope you enjoy it :)
I think the 2ds is the future Nintendo needs to kill off the switch to survive

I bought a Nintendo 2DS because it was cheaper than a 3DS. But I must say that the window is little and if you compare it with a 3DSXL you lose a good/nice visual experience. I bought a New 3DS XL not too long ago and I'm very happy with it. It wasn't expensive and I think it's totally worth for a better experience with your games.
*Edit: And they way you need to hold your Nintendo 2DS isn't comfortable. Sometimes my hand hurts. And when you want to play outside, you can't pick it with yourself easily in a little handbag.
Op is talking about the new 2ds xl which is roughly the same size as the new 3ds xl

2DS: $150
3DS: $200

Literally why would you ever buy a 2DS if you can spend 1 game's worth more to get the real version of the console?
Because the 3d feature is useless. why pay extra?
I own an old 2ds and i'm pretty happy with it. Price difference is minor in a place like usa or europe, but in my country it was a lot of money. Can't also see properly the 3d effect on other people 3ds, so yeah...

The worst interface problem for me was the shoulder triggers being in a really uncomfortable position, turning a fast paced action stuff like Azure Striker Gunvolt into a somewhat painful experience after 1/2 hours. I use it to play turn based rpgs and puzzle games most of the time tho, so it's hardly a problem.

The new 2ds looks a lot better to handle, and recent games sorta gave up on the 3d effect anyway. Although the speakers position are atrocious haha
I have the original, but I barely used it. I recently picked up a Switch.

Good for you let me guess you picked up two more to go with it but you get home realize you only need the one so you sell them for more than what you spent

how do you like it so far?

I own a New 3DS and it's good for Pokemon, Xenoblade, and Fire Emblem, but at this point you should invest in a Switch. The 3DS has little life left.
pokemon died at XY
save up for a xone or a ps4. Get value for money.

But if you want a handheld dont do a half effort with a 2ds.
they look gay and for an extra 50-100$ can get you a cool 3d machine that fits in your pocket
Eh I just want a Nintendo Dual Screen Player at this point. Come on Nintendo the Switch has a touch pad controller and so did the Wii U!

The 2Ds is literally a brick. It looks super uncomfortable to hold.
There's a new 2Ds. It has a folding design similar to the 3Ds.
Thanks to that and the fact it's "new", I see no reason to pick a 3DS over it.
