There are a lot of great indie games I could recommend but I'm not sure if you're into those.
i mentioned those games because i have those and run them fine at low settings.
sure bro ill take it
Considering that your avatar seems to depict what I think is a fighting game character, I can think of a number of fighting games that have 2D sprite graphics.
Also a huge variety of 2D platformers, even recent ones. 2.5D may be a bit more of a stretch, depending, but frankly speaking, I had a Pentium which ran Terraria fine though it had to be windowed at 800x600 and not fullscreen at 1366x768.
And you might even able to run some PS2-era stuff that was released natively on PC around 2004-2007. I'm talking about some JRPGs and action JRPGs here, and they're some of the best too.
What kinds of games are you looking for, with regards to genre or other characteristics? Wanna ask this before I just post a giant list that no one reads.
i like games that dont take 20 minuites to complete. something challanging, yet completable and fun at the same time. I completed half life 2 and that game to me is 5 stars, i have a few other games, far cry 2 and assassins creed(with those 2 i turned the settings all the way down and get like 25+ fps). i also really enjoyed spelunky. i was maybe looking into mafia, heard some good reviews about that. also some people said that i would be able to run cod waw fine so that looks fun.
I like adventure games, fps, i also like the idea of the fallout seires but cant run any of the modern games. was maybe going to look into deus ex human revolution. yeah, games like these. please give me any suggestions of games that you enjoyed. thanks.
I'm very unfamiliar with the FPS scene, though at the very least some well-known Valve games should probably be within reach for your computer, like Portal or Half-Life, as long as you don't turn the settings up too high (and maybe even if you do). I can't guarantee them though.
Since you enjoyed Spelunky I'm guessing you're okay with 2D platformers, so here's a bunch of solid choices:
* Mystik Belle (metroidvania) (I'm basically certain this works on very low-end computers -- the dev designed it this way on purpose)
* Freedom Planet (level-based platformer, multiple playable characters)
* Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight (metroidvania)
* La-Mulana (metroidvania) (warning: difficult)
* Castle in the Darkness (metroidvania)
* Guacamelee! (metroidvania) (I've played Gold edition but STCE is the newer one which I haven't played)
* Mutant Mudds (level-based challenge platformer with a very smooth difficulty curve)
* DuckTales Remastered (level-based platformer) (some people report crashing after bosses but it's usually on newer computers I think, so you should be fine, and I had no problems either on Core i-whatever with integrated cards)
* Terraria (exploration/survival/crafting)
* Aquaria (metroidvania, atmospheric/exploration and minor crafting)
All of these are pretty sizable games that should last you much longer than several hours.
Also, other 2D games that aren't platformers, but are also good choices with lots of depth:
* Ys I & II (top-down action RPG)
* RefleX (vertical shmup) (difficult but has anti-frustration features i.e. giving more continues when you game over, and slowly revealing the story the further you play)
* Anodyne (Zelda-like, exploration)
* 100% Orange Juice (4-player board/card game)
* One Way Heroics (turn-based roguelike/RPG with multiple layers of story depth and lots of replay value)
* To The Moon (story adventure in JRPG-like format)
* Titan Souls (top-down arena boss fights one after another) (warning: difficult)
* Nethack (roguelike) (not on Steam, but available for free, and it doesn't even require graphical capability, just a command line, and it has an incredible amount of depth and is still has active devteam and playerbase with game server despite being very old)
* Broken Sword (point-and-click adventure)
2.5D or probably light 3D:
* Recettear (business sim + dungeon crawler)
* FTL: Faster Than Light (space adventure roguelike, hybrid turn-based and real-time with pause)
* The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky (turn-based JRPG)
* Ys: the Oath in Felghana / Ys: the Ark of Napishtim / Ys Origin (action JRPGs)
