can not get mac to connect to pc or pc to conect to mac in minecraft pls help!
my sister has a mac an i have a pc windows 10 by the way and nither can conect to eachother when hosting lan server and ive tryied all solutions on the onternet but still no luck. anybody have a solution to this pls. i know this is not a steam game but it is off topic.

ive got java minecraft on both pcs not windows 10 minecraft

They should be compatible. Are you trying to connect through LAN? Make sure they are on the same internet and one game has LAN mode open, then the other go into the multiplayer tab and it should work.

1. Don't own a MAC or anything made by Apple.

ok ive figured that the screen when its trying to find a server it don't work and you have to entre your ip adress by saying ipconfig for win 10 or ifconfig in mac and entre the ipv4 adress and colin (:) then entre the prot that comes up in minecraft chat for direct connect.

It is bad enough you want to play a Microsoft game on a MAC. But yes, you have to manually input the info in the MACs client.
