Formerly known as "mundies" or "mundanes", normies are your "normal", non-geeky people. Boring people who work 9-5 office jobs, maybe have a couple kids, don't really get involved in any fandoms, and certainly don't drunkenly parade themselves around in cosplay.

I've never heard the term "normie" being used not ironically. But I'm sure there is some super nerdy ♥♥♥♥ who legitimately uses it as a pejorative somewhere because internet logic.

She married the little guy to get all the gold he found on his adventures to the Lonely Mountain. She doesn't really love him, and she's horrified at the idea of becoming a member of his tribe. Don't want to spoil the rest of the story, but it's a really good movie. For it's day anyways.
