how to look at downloads with steam overlay
like idk if im downloading or not when ingame, but how to see downloads on overlay?

You have to check the client. You can't see download progress with the Overlay unless you have some sort of Steam mod.

steam mod tho? like are they allowed>

I don't think you can see that. You would have to either go to your desktop and then to your cleint in order to see it or you can simply disable the downloads while playing so you don't have to worry about that anymore. Go to Steam > Settings > Downloads > Allow downloads during gameplay.

Make sure that you select the option to download while playing games in the settings too.

ya ik, but hey can you change that for diferent games? cause i only rly want it off for online games

I'm probably late to reply, but what I've done on my computer is set my global settings to allow downloads and made a manual change to the few online games I have.
