I need Yugioh friends :)
Hey, basically I used to collect the cards back in the old school days of 2000-2003 but sold and got rid of them all as I grew older. Now I'm 19 and want to get back into the swing of collecting and ACTUALLY playing seriously with others and making friends etc :)

Would anyone like to be my friend and teach or mentor me about some things and show me whats happened in all this time. I'd really appreciate it!

Feel free to add me :D

Last I heard the word "yugioh" was back in 3rd grade

Sorry pal but the odds you'll find someone who still plays yugioh, even on this geek infested forum, are very slim
Of course Yugioh is still a thing haha! I suppose it's similar to all trading card games, not just children play it. Yugioh has a large teenage-adult - adult play audience and seems to be the second most popular CCG in the world, just shy of Magic: The Gathering.

Just because I enjoyed the game when I was younger; doesn't mean I can't enjoy it now haha!

Yeah...but I have NEVER seen anybody on any sort of media platform or in irl mention it once at all. It just seems like the kind of thing with a small cult following. And I'm not saying this because it's "for little kids", look at Pokémon or Magic

Maybe that's due to location or social friend circle. I haven't a lot of real life friends who play Yugioh either, I have a few that play MTG, I even played that for a while. But if you go to local game stores you usually have tournaments and such on certain days. Yugioh is still VERY much played. Depends where you look. I just want to get back into a game I enjoyed collecting as a child. Whether or not I find someone on this social playform doesn't matter to me; as long as I try, who knows. :-)
Why don't you just buy the official game on Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/480650/

Wow I didn't know this game existed :) Thanks for the input! The game is a little pricey and some of those reviews mention it might not be advisable for someone new to the game. I think what I'll do it head on down to my local game store tomorrow and see what I can find out there.

However; I'll keep my eye on this and the ££££££ amount of DLC lol!

If you think that's pricey you're gonna be in for a hell of a surprise when you discover what yu-gi-oh has become..

I always assumed it's still 'sell your kidney to afford the cards' type of deal. After all Wizards of the Coast control the card distribution I think. I suppose you have a point! :-)
anyone up for some duel in legacy of the duelist? add me!
