PS3 Controller/PC pairing help

I'm planning to get rocket league and play with a PS3 controller and I've watched numerous videos and have read countless articles, but when i plug in my controller, the 4 red lights keep continuously blinking until I unplug the controller. Is it supposed to do this?

you need to download a driver and program for it to work correctly.

download and use Ds3 tool from motionjoy.

google for it and you should find it pretty easily.

Use an emulator, like ds3
But you need a usb cable to connect with it

I use one to play Assassin's Creed on my laptop

DS3 is good to use. Only thing annoying is that you need to manually need to startup the programming before plugging the controller in.

To use any non-windows compatible controller with Windows you need:

1) A driver to interpret the hardware and translate the input.
2) Software to translate the driver output into the equivalent for a standard controller device.
