........ When did i ever say I hated valve?
That's not exactly a compliment
I call my friends fat ♥♥♥♥♥♥s.
So $10(50% off right now) for the main game and then $10 for the DLC is too expensive? Are you serious?
Also there is a retail bundle for both of them and it's named Diablo III Battlechest and it cost about $20. This can be bought on Blizzards store as well.
With this you get so much content and it's still getting updates and has been getting updates these past years.
The truly greedy companies are Activision and Capcom. Activision for barely using sales on newer titles and will not drop the price on their games until they are basically dead.
Capcom because they keep releasing new Streetfighter games with minor changes and maybe 2-4 new characters that could have easily been a DLC to a previous game but they release it as a full priced game.
They have done this for quite some time too.
Few things. The only reason EA won worst company 2 times running is because it's easier to rally gamers who have unerasonable hate for a company than letting people actually vote for a bad company. So you have all of these salty gamers who had one or two bad experience with EA back in the stone age and they will never let it go.
The vote meant nothing in the long run.
The new games they release are up to the person. I've had a lot of fun in the latests BF games.
EA doesn't milk series as much as some other companies does. That also does it far worse. Capcom for example and Activision. They are milking their series.
The only studio I've ever heard them truly break is Westwood but if people think their Red Alert and C&C would be constantly good they are wrong. But it's fun to hear how people loved some of the versions of the game when it was under EA control.
The prices for the game are completely valid as the games have enough content to be a standard game. The DLC to Battlefield since BF3 have added so much content that you are basically getting double the content or more with it. So this is why it's priced at $60 in the start. They will though drop the price of this within the next month or two. But check the amount of content you get for BF3 and BF4. It's insane and put any other DLC out there to shame.
Just check the price for all the DLC to this game.

Buying enough DLC to get the full game will cost you so much more than what I bought it for back when it was on sale.
Did you also see what EA said when it was voted worst company? When they called the voters "nerds" who picked them for the notorious title instead of, say, the Bank of America? Says a lot about what EA thinks of its customer base. Have you ever tried contacting EA about a specific issue through the live chat? I have. Lots of people have. It's always the same story. You wait for over 40 minutes to talk to an APE. They give you generic instructions that NEVER actually help, some of them can barely speak English, and if you insist they'll just "elevate" your problem to the tech expert team(meaning you won't really get an answer until a week or two later, which, once again will be useless). It's not a bad experience or two with EA. It's 9 out of 10 terrible experiences and rarely things might work the way they're supposed to.
Westwood isn't the only studio EA has bought and shut down. Far from it. There's Maxis, Bullfrog, Pandemic, NuFX, Mythic, Phenomic and many others.
About the prices, NO. Just no. Don't even go there. 70€ on release for Battlefront. BATTLEFRONT. A game with a handful of maps, barely any content, NO SINGLEPLAYER. If you believe the content justified the price in this game, you're a tool and possibly work for EA yourself. Every game of theirs costs 60-70€ for a long time after release for the base game. Meaning they're riddled with dlc and season passes.
I'm not gonna talk about their games because if there are fanboys in here they'll charge at me. Just look at plants vs zombies 2 and its micro transactions, standard, deluxe, super deluxe editions at ridiculous prices at launch. Their little indie game called Unravel, which has DENUVO. They probably spent a lot more on drm than the actual damn game. Battlefield 1 is trashy to be honest, nowhere near as good as bf3 and 4.
Hopefully they will come down now that BitCoin farming is no longer financially viable through use of beefed up graphics Cards - switching back to processors might force the cost of newer cards back down where they belong especially since new ones come out every month
This guy get's it, he's in the know. He see's past the trendy hate's to see the real insanity.
